It's all real, all the time here. But sometimes reality bites.
The truth of the matter is, just because Hubster had his stomach bug 8 days ago, it doesn't mean you can't get it 7 days later. I guess germs know no time limit. I was brought down on Sat night. Spent a little time bowing before the throne, wishing I would get sick. Instead I suffered through Sunday. Wasn't able to sing at church, missed the birthday party, and couldn't really appreciate Hubster's wonderful rump* Sunday night. Today I can stand or lie down without feeling sour. Yesterday I had to stay propped up on pillows to keep my stomach settled. Knitting didn't happen due to the awkward position.

Reality bites. Friday after work I went to visit a friend who had foot surgery. While Suzie and I visited with Kay I pulled out a
scarf pattern and tried to work it in the new Universal Yarn we have. Forget it. Not stripey enough. So back to the drawing board on that. Then I pulled out the Black Purl design and tried to start it. Over and over and over. Angelina is kind of tricky with her YO's and p2togs with increases at the edge. So I basically came away with nothing. Saturday I had class so I started the bag to show some details. The photo represents my accomplishments up to noon on Saturday. Not much.

Then I took 4 girls to see a movie, this is what I decided to take with me to work on. Such a cute bunny. I am using Paton's Divine in a mint green color. We will put this on display at the shop and then Elder wants the bunny. She who sleeps with no stuffed animal? But Younger has faithfully slept with the brown one I made a few months ago, and Elder is jealous. I am over haflway on the square which will be 12"x12". I could have finished it yesterday if I would have been able to sit upright. As it was, all I could do was read.
Today I am feeling so much better. I need to get going, we just realized that our plates expire in 3 days, but we got no notice for the renewal. Not a good thing. I'm not sure if I could post from jail. OK, I know they don't throw you in jail for expired plates, but I had to try to throw some excitement into this boring post.

The last bite of reality is, the fact I couldn't even go to the Birthday Party yesterday to see the results of my handiwork. Wahh!!! Evidently I wasn't too handy on the shrug. But I will email C to give her some options. #1) I can rip back and add length to the fronts. #2) She can give that one to Mom or little sis and I can make her another in a different color. #3) She can pick out a different pattern and I can make that. #4) I can give her money to spend. So I leave you with a photo of such beauty you may have to turn your eyes away. Here are two lovely young ladies who are just as lovely on the inside as they are on the outside.
Blessings: A 90% settled stomach today. Just watch what I eat and I should be OK.
*Come on, you know I meant rump roast!
