I got the Yarnzilla skein, and it isn't close in depth of color, but I am working it in. 1 row of new, 1 row of old. In the 1st photo the 2 rows below the needle are the new yarn. Lots of difference, so I am now doing 1 to 1 rows, instead of 2 to 1. 2nd photo shows just how much difference there is. Here's hoping it looks right in the end.
On Ravelry I have joined "Lace for All Seasons". Considering I now have enough lace/fingering to make 26 shawls, I need to get busy! Added 2 more skeins yesterday with the arrival of the Koigu. 2 skeins of Classic Elite Silky Alpaca in a deep red are in the stash. A little over 900 yards, so not sure what yet. I am thinking a Shetland Triangle. And I got beads for the Heritage, even though I wasn't planning on beading it. But they will look fabo on it! See:
Just lovely! Too bad it doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up. I have enough for a small Twinings, but the bead placement just wouldn't work, either too many needed, or not a good place to just put a few. I could do a Leaf Lace from Evelyn Clark. Decisions, decisions.
Time to start my day. It's full of knitting this morning and then softball opener tonight. I will have to juggle to get both girls where they need to be, unless it rains as predicted and washes out the game. To say I am hoping for that, would be 100% true. But Elder is looking forward to it, so I shouldn't jinx it.
Thought for the day: I hope you find happiness today. And if it seems to elude you keep in mind, that sometimes we are chasing the wrong things seeking happiness. Or sometimes we look to others to create it for us. Maybe today, you could make an effort to bring happiness to someone else. But watch out, it's infectious!
