Lush'cious Scarf

Seaman’s Scarf made from Lush by Classic Elite.

 

  Size: 50” x 6”

  Yarn: 2 hanks of Classic Elite Lush.

  Needles: 10 US on the Seaman’s Scarf. The 10      

  US makes a fabric with lots of drape, for 

  a  more dense fabric use 8 US. 

  Gauge: 4 sts per 1” with 10 US needles. 4.5    

  sts per 1” with 8 US needles.

   

  Stitch Instructions:

  2-st Left Twist (LT): Wyib and RH needle         

  behind LH needle, skip 1st st and k the 2nd

  st tbl, then k the 1st st and slip both from the      

  needle.

  1-st Right Twist (RT): Wyif skip the 1st st and  

  purl the 2nd st, then purl the 1st st and slip both  

  sts from the needle.

Scarf Instructions:

Cast on 28 sts. Row 1 (RS): P1,*LT, P1* to end of row

                      Row 2 (WS): K1, *RT, K1* to end of the row

Rep Rows 1 and 2 until you have 12” in length, ending with a WS row

Next row: P1, *K2tog, P1*  to end of row (20 sts)

Row 1: K1, *P1, K1* to end of row

Row 2: P1, *K1, P1* to end of row

Repeat these 2 rows until scarf measures 30”, ending with a WS row

Next row: P1, *K1, M1* to end of row (28 sts)

Continue working in Rick Rack Ribbing until scarf measures 42”, bind off all sts.
