Picture Day

Wednesday, 31 August 2005 8:35 A GMT-06
I forgot to include the photos from our camping trip. Don't get too excited, I only took 2! As we approached Patoka Lake this <!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->is what greeted us. A portent perhaps? It was a promise that the weekend would be bette

Thanks Katrina

I really wanted to stay in today and knit. The torrential rain we are getting from Katrina has made that possible. I do feel for the people displaced by the store. Hopefully relief efforst will come quickly. I can't imagine having my house submerged

Pinkie goodness

Sunday, 28 August 2005 2:30 P GMT-06
I finally pulled out the Sirdar Bolero to work on last night. Something is just not right with their pattern, I have joined it in the round and their rows don't match up for all in one knitting. So I reworked the numbers and I am so much happier now.

Another class is started

Thursday, 25 August 2005 7:03 A GMT-06
And it was the kicker. Started the Entrelac class last night and it's the one that is the hardest to know how to get going. I do it from the picking out of yarn, if they haven't already done it. It's easier to know what type of colors you need to go

Welcome Ladies

Wednesday, 24 August 2005 7:55 A GMT-06
Sending out a Hello to any of the ladies who I had in class last night. Hope you guys had fun, I sure did. Class went well last night, as well as can be expected in my first time as a "school teacher". The job is through the local school di

Cute Quiz

Tuesday, 23 August 2005 12:43 P GMT-06
I missed 2, won't say which, but one of them not many got right. I choose to think it's that the question is worded incorrectly. So I scored 130, how about you?

This is getting out of hand!

Tuesday, 23 August 2005 7:44 A GMT-06
Just what is wrong with me. Why can't I stay focused on the job at hand? Why must I run off and start new things when none of the old things are done? Why can't I play in my Cascade 220 leftovers without pulling out some and casting on? You got me, b

Full weekend!

Monday, 22 August 2005 1:12 P GMT-06
As you know, Saturday morning was my class (Hi Lisa<!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->!) with Nancy Marchant<!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->. Here is my lovely swatch I did. What? You don't think it is lovely? Me neither. But I was trying to l

It's that time

Saturday, 20 August 2005 12:00 A GMT-06
Yes, I must confess I am finally ready to admit it. I am not going to deny it any longer. I mean, I am an adult, right? I can be a big girl about things. You would think I wouldn't have taken so long to come to terms with this. It's not like I am t

Quick, grab a calendar!

Friday, 19 August 2005 7:18 A GMT-06
Do you have my schedule there? What am I supposed to do today? I finally sat down and created a calendar sheet for the next few months. August and September are full, so don't ask me to do anything else. I have an open October and November, but doubt

Can it be another year has passed?

Wednesday, 17 August 2005 7:12 A GMT-06
My Elder <!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->turned 11 today. Oh my. How can that be. There they are, the first day of school, an 8 year old and now 11 year old. What a year it's been. Just look at how happy she was to be a big sister! Wonder what h

So you wanna see the loot? Here it is:501 from Filatura Di Crossa in tow colors. 2 bags of ten per color = 40 balls <!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->of yarn. I bought the purple, yes it really is purple, for the Liam sweater for Elder. I don't th

So much to say!

Monday, 15 August 2005 8:39 A GMT-06
Hi, I'm back. Did ya miss me? The Younger did, she was out riding her scooter when she saw me coming. Scooted back to the house to greet me. Elder? She couldn't be bothered to get off her bike to say hi. Hubster? He finally came in from cutting grass

Don't do it, or if you must, buy mine for half price.

Tuesday, 9 August 2005 8:38 A GMT-06
Don't walk, don't run and for heavens sake, don't buy Vintage Knits. Unless you really must have it, then I am willing to part with mine for halfprice! I love Rowan stuff, have their Best of Rowan book and have many plans for it. But this Vintage jus

Ramblin' Road Trip part 2

Monday, 8 August 2005 2:25 P GMT-06
Well, our recent Ramblin Road Trip really was rambling. We headed home from Indy, I left from my sister's as soon as the race was over and Hubster and the rest left from the track. South of Indy on I-65 we hit traffic due to a wreck. Seems I-65 south

Ramblin' Road Trip

Friday, 5 August 2005 9:22 P GMT-06
I've been on one this week. We had our Vacation Bible School this week and the title was the, um, title for this year's event. I feel like I have rambled a lot myself this week. Between doing the crafts each night, working 2 days this week and teachi

I've been steeked

Thursday, 4 August 2005 9:13 A GMT-06
Another go round of steeking is happening. Erin <!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->is getting the treatment right now. No way I am doing all that color work in knit/purl. It's getting easier to do shaped armholes with steeks now. Just one was all i

Is it August already?

Monday, 1 August 2005 7:48 A GMT-06
What happened to June? There didn't seem to be that much going on. July? Yep, it was busier. But can they really be over? Can it really only be 9 days until the girls are back in school? Yuck! But then again, that means only 9 days until I leave for
