Sorry, can't help you

Friday, 31 March 2006 9:12 A GMT-06
I don't know how to help you keep your back straight. I fail miserably at it myself! And I also don't think I can help with your itchy ears and itchy throat. Why not try a Dr.? Just some more whack searches that brought people here. What I do know

What he said

Thursday, 30 March 2006 2:51 P GMT-06
I came across this editorial by Ben Stein. Now I know why I have always liked this guy. I know I don't say it enough so here goes. Thank you to all the servicemen AND their families, serving in our armed forces. Knitting took place last night while

I forgot to have Elder do it yesterday, and then even last night at Knit Knacks I forgot to have one of the knitters take a photo. Maybe today I will remember. I did whip the camera out to take a photo of Suzie's FO. She made this cute top and p

Good thing it's still cold here

Tuesday, 28 March 2006 9:43 A GMT-06
Wait, not that I am happy it is still cold. But if it was warm I wouldn't be able to wear these! My Mrs B's are done.  I wore them for a bit of knitting last night and my hands and wrists were toasty warm. I definitely will wear them today whil

Searching for the perfect tea

Monday, 27 March 2006 8:44 A GMT-06
Just can't find something sweet enough without putting tons of sugar in it! Oh well. Good thing the Younger won a basket of goodies at Starbucks Friday night. It had coffee for Dad and tea for me. 5 different flavors for me to audition. I know I

I am so proud of the Hubster. He has just been promoted to a new job, something or other. Please, he works for a power company, I have no clue what his title is or what it even means! But, I can still be proud of him for what he has ac

Time to get going

Thursday, 23 March 2006 8:12 A GMT-06
Today will be a long day. Going into work a little early to get some things rearranged, mix it up a bit to look fresh and new. Then run to pick up Elder for a Dr appointment. She has been plagued with ear infections all her life. They have slack

What's new?

Bookcase. A lovely green bookcase to hold my cookbooks. Good thing I don't have many of them! It's not a very big bookcase. But it's perfect for the corner it now lives in. Here's a shot of the old, already removed from the corner, and the new, alrea

It's a lazy day

Tuesday, 21 March 2006 11:41 A GMT-06
No work, no plans, no teaching. Just waiting for the Dentist appt and Knit Knacks (had to come up with a name, I am so tired of calling it Knit Knight). Of course, if the cold hangs around much longer I won't go anywhere! I plan to wear the Nordic Sw

It's a work day

Monday, 20 March 2006 10:08 A GMT-06
And an overcast day. Not much to get excited about. Busy Saturday kept me from posting and a tummy upset Sunday kept me done. Everytime I ate I got a sour tummy. Finally after Sprite and toast I was able to not feel sick after eating. 75% better

It's a Birthday!!

Friday, 17 March 2006 8:02 A GMT-06
Not only St Patrick's Day, but more important, it's Lynne's Birthday! No wait, wrong birthday kid. It's my Dad's Birthday!! Say Happy Birthday to Dad, if you see him as he drives back from Florida. Man, what a way to spend your birthday. He doesn't l

It's a Day

Thursday, 16 March 2006 7:53 A GMT-06
Not unlike any other day. Things to do, people to see, knitting to teach. At least the grocery run is out of the way. I always know it will be bad when I haven't been in awhile. $200.00+ bad. And I will be right back in a week spending about as much.

Grocery Day

Wednesday, 15 March 2006 7:40 A GMT-06
It's not like we are completely out of food. But there isn't a crumb of any healthy food in this house at the moment. Desperate times need desperate measures. So, I'm going in. Making a run to the grocery. Brave you say? No more brave than all t

How are you? Doing good?

Tuesday, 14 March 2006 8:05 A GMT-06
Great. I am glad to hear it. Things are good here. Just too busy. But today should be slower paced. Just a hair trim at 11:00. But tonight will be hopping. Younger to Brownies, Me to Knitting, then Me to lock up shop after Lea's class, then Me back t

What a day

Even with the bad weather threatening and moving through it was so much fun. Here's how it started.   Rain, rain, go away. It boomed all night long and some of the morning. But by 10:00 am, the first session start, we were in trhe clear. This

March is roaring

It may have come in like a lamb, but it's not behaving well. The Tornado Season has started. Wait, it never really ended did it. I had lunch with Isaiah Grandmother the other day. She is doing well, but it's still a struggle. Her daughter is still in

Scattered

Thursday, 9 March 2006 8:15 A GMT-06
Was I random or what last night? I blame it on lack of calories. I only had 2 pieces of toast, 1 bowl of cereal, 1 burrito (beef and potato), 1 taco and nachos and cheese the entire day. The cereal was my dinner. And I caved. I had a Mt Dew. But only

What a day!

It was absolutely fabulous! It started off a'smokin'. Literally! I got ready and headed out for Starbuck's. In just a few short minutes it was clear we couldn't stay. By golly they threw us out! Told us to clear out. But we didn't mind since burning

REally, Tie One On is so close. Just 5" of 26 st ribbing to go. I was working on it while at choir last night, but didn't bring a measuring device and so could not verify that I was long enough on the 1st tie. I just stopped and waiting until I

it's a party!

Saturday, 4 March 2006 4:57 P GMT-06
We spent the morning at a Dora Party for a friend's 3 year old. She is soooo cute! And now she has a darling baby brother, who gets the baby vest if I EVER finish it. I did have a Debbie Bliss sweater, from an Interweave Knits issue, going for A, but

Obviously Chaos has hypnotized me into doing this. Why else would I plaster photos of my 80's hair all over the net? But I must do what the master said. First up. I am so glad the photo cuts off the top of this hair do. Who knows how high up it reall
