THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG DOG!!!!!! I will not allow this to happen again. I am not sure if what I asked for is what got, but I don't like it. Will call them to try and figure out where the communication went south. This was not the Birthday present I wanted!
What does this make? 48 I believe. 48 years of life and love. And each year just gets better. Although I think one year, about the age of 25, I was sure I was going to burn out! Too much partying that year. I wondered if I should have gotten a T-shirt after that year that said "I Survived Twenty-Five"! Each year adds layers of experiences that make my life more full. Some years, layers are scourged off, due to friendships lost/destroyed. Some years I have cuts from the loss of friends due to moving, which will happen this year when Barbara moves back East. Some years the layers are replaced by new friendships and family members, due to marriage and births.
I feel very blessed to have gained the age I am, and I have never longed to go back to a certain age or time. While I would love to experience falling in love with Hubster again, I wouldn't want to give up the love that has grown through the last 16.5 years. But for the first time since we met, we are not together on my special day. Even the year he had to go to Pittsburgh we weren't apart. He took me with him. The other night, while calling from Baltimore, he said that I should have come to Maryland with him. I reminded him, I wasn't asked! At least he will get home in time to see my 48th year celebration for 1-2 hours before I hit the hay.
I mentioned to him that I had been celebrating the last 2 days. He told me to draw out the fun, but I said today would bring me no presents. Little did I know that he had my gift hidden and it was up to Elder to have it waiting for me this morning. Only, she had to ask for wrapping paper to wrap it, and then had to call him to see where he had hidden it! He was mad that I then knew something was up. Of course, I knew what it was, having specifically asked for it! I really wanted the HP version a friend got, but I couldn't find them where she bought hers. Now, if only my old PC worked, I could get photos uploaded to it. But that thing is having port issues, needs maintenance, but Hubster refuses. So, when I pick up the pup from his grooming I am dropping off the PC. It wouldn't be an issue if the device recognized Macs!
Knitting happened last night. I dropped into the shop and was able to get up to 4" on Edler's hat. The D.A.R.E. program at school that morning also helped add to the depth. Photo forthcoming sometime in the near future. Considering I have to do an update after the pup's grooming, it will likely be tomorrow. Since I know you are clamoring to see his royal cuteness!
When I left him we discussed the issues with keeping his eyes clear and they said I can bring him in between clips for a potty patch and have his eyes done. Good to know. I will pick up nail clippers, but they also offered to trim the nails in between at no charge. I was not sure I wanted to take him every few months for grooming, just to keep his eyes cleared. It's good to know some places go the extra mile in service. Of course I was nervous as could be, leaving him for the first time. He was all excited and anxious to see dogs!! Just like my Elder, who would tell me, "Go Mom, leave", whenever I was leaving her in a nursery or at someone's house. Younger, a different story.
OK, I have rambled long enough! Time to get back to freeing up memory on the Mac. I hope your day is as stellar as mine, whether it's your birthday or not!
